Kate Lieberth Lytton - ROAD® Director
Kate Lieberth Lytton began her pre-professional training under the tutelage of Nan Klinger and the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet, now Ballet Excel Ohio. She performed in the 1992 International Children's Festival in Taiwan and originated many of the roles in BXO's repertoire. Kate attended summer programs at Chautauqua Institution, Boston Ballet, School of American Ballet, and BalletMet. After graduating with Honors from Our Lady of the Elms, Kate continued her education on scholarship at the University of Utah where she was a member of Utah Ballet and a trainee with Ballet West. Professionally, Kate has performed with Richmond Ballet, Ballet Memphis, Oakland Ballet, and Company C Contemporary Ballet. Classically, she has been seen in many Balanchine works; her favorites being Sylvia Pas de Deux, Who Cares? and Concerto Barocco. She has danced in ballets by great choreographers such as Antony Tudor, Trey McIntyre, Ronn Guidi, and Twyla Tharp. Highlights of her professional career include principal roles in ballets by David Parsons, Paul Taylor, Patrick Corbin, and the title role in, "The Firebird".
In addition to being an accomplished dancer, Kate has been on faculty at the most prestigious pre-professional academies in the San Francisco Bay Area and taught Master classes and workshops across the country. For 6 years she was the Assistant Director at Ballet America, and has furthered her education in anatomy and kinesiology through multiple dance and fitness trainings and certification programs.
In 2011, Kate became the Dance Program Manager at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, CA. Her expertise and knowledge grew the employee dance program from a few social dance classes a week to a comprehensive adult dance training program across multiple disciplines. She quickly moved through the ranks to Global Dance and Group Fitness Program Manager, overseeing programming at 17 North American offices and another 50 globally. She worked on many high level program innovation teams, as well as with leaders in the field at Stanford University.
Amanda Davis - ROAD®Artistic Director
Amanda Davis began dancing at the age of three at The School of Canton Ballet. She became a company member at thirteen years old and performed in many ballets including The Nutcracker, Dracula, Swan Lake, The Wizard of Oz and many more. Amanda then attended Kent State University and received a BFA in dance education. During her junior year at KSU, Amanda was awarded a scholarship as Outstanding Dance Major. After college graduation, Amanda gained teaching experience at private dance studios, preschools, public schools. She now teaches at Kibler Dance Academy in Hudson and Bourn Academy of Dance in Green
Ashley Lain - Lead Instructor
Ashley Lain recently graduated with honors from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Studies, and minors in Electronic Media and Business. She has been teaching dance for eight years, with a focus primarily in tap. She has trained in a wide variety of styles, beginning at her home studio in Indianapolis, IN. She continues to attend workshops, festivals, and master classes to broaden her understanding of dance and to share new ideas with her students.
Throughout her performance career, Ashley has had opportunities to dance in New York City at Lincoln Center and on an Alvin Ailey Stage for the American Dance Guild. She also traveled to London as part of the entertainment package for the 2012 Olympic Tour. During her time at Kent State, Ashley was a company member of the Kent Dance Ensemble. This pre-professional program gave her additional performance opportunities, as well as the chance to lead workshops and residencies in nearby public schools. She is excited to continue down the path of community outreach with Reach Out and Dance!
Deborah "Ingy" Ingersol -Musician
Deborah “Ingy” Ingersoll is happy to be a part of such a talented and unique team. She has played in pit orchestras at the Canton Players Guild, Broadview Heights Spotlights, Actors’ Summit, Home 4 The Arts, Canton Central Catholic, and Mogadore High School.

Ingy has accompanied for many years in numerous educational workshops, school systems, auditions & call backs, and master classes for the Arts Education Department of the Idea Center at Cleveland PlayhouseSquare, some of which include Sutton Foster and Raul Esparza. In addition, she accompanied a master class at the University of Akron that was conducted by Pamela Myers.
She plays with “Kindred Spirit,” a contemporary gospel praise team, is the pianist at South Arlington United Methodist Church, is music directing and accompanying for Stardust Dinner Theatre in Canton, has accompanied and is on call for Musical Theatre Performance classes and master grad classes at Kent State University, participates with Akron’s Gospel Meets Symphony, and plays for Montevino’s Wine Market in Wooster and Lanning’s in Bath.
She has taught private piano lessons for over 30 years, accompanied dance classes at University of Akron and Dance Institute, and played for many fine dining restaurants in the Cleveland, Canton and Akron areas. She still finds time to spend with her second family at a piano bar in Akron. Thanks to friends and family for all their unconditional support, and thanks to God. “It’s all about the PRAISE.”
Mark Gilbert -Musician
Thecla Harris - ROAD® Artistic Consultant
Thecla Harris currently serves as the Artistic Director of PS Broadway, the staple program of Rosie’s Theater Kids that provides nearly 1,500 low-income fifth grade students annually with musical theater training. Since its 2003 inception, Thecla has helped develop and implement the program’s curriculum, as well as lead teaching training workshops using the classroom techniques unique to PS Broadway. She is also the driving force behind Spotlight on Broadway, the tuition-based and residency programs of RTKids. Her choreography has appeared on national and local levels, on numerous television shows and at charity events in New York City and throughout the tri-state area.
Thecla trained with the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet, now Ballet Excel Ohio, danced professionally with Dayton Ballet II, and was a guest performer with numerous companies. She received a BA from the University of Akron and has been teaching dance in the New York City public schools since 1995, including eight years with the National Dance Institute. Thecla also serves as Artistic Consultant for the Reach Out and Dance (ROAD®) initiative of the Ballet Excel Ohio and BalletMet’s Momentum in Columbus, Ohio.
